Terms of service, plainly put
These terms cover your use of this site and the moving work Appaloosa Moving and Storage performs across Appling and the Augusta metro. Keeping the wording readable was a deliberate choice. Ask us for a quote or put a move on the calendar, and you’re accepting the terms laid out here.
A flat number, down on paper
No binding estimate leaves this office unsigned — Della or I put our name on the printed sheet. Whatever figure that signed sheet shows is what you owe us — it shifts for exactly three reasons: you add inventory, you tack on an extra stop, or you change the date once the truck is booked. Any one of those, and we put a fresh number in writing before a single new box gets touched. No hourly meter quietly running up, no fees sprung on you later.
Canceling or rescheduling
- 72 hours or more before the date — your deposit comes back in full.
- 24 to 72 hours — your deposit rolls into a credit good on any move booked within the year.
- Inside 24 hours — the deposit is kept, since by then we have turned down other work to save your date.
Coverage and liability, spelled out
At no cost to you, we fold the federal released-value standard of $0.60 per pound per article into every job. Carrying something valuable? Flag it up front and we’ll add full-value protection writing as much as $1,000,000 on a load. Any claim can be filed up to nine months after the move.
Off-limits for the truck
Federal law and plain caution keep a handful of things off our truck: gasoline and propane tanks, fireworks, loaded firearms, anything perishable, houseplants bound across state lines, plus cash or jewelry. Box those on your own and keep them with you in the car.
Truck access at the curb
At pickup and drop-off, getting the truck close to the door is your responsibility — or flag it for us in advance when that’s not possible, and we’ll line up a shuttle. We plan around Georgia heat and summer storms at no charge. Permit parking on tight Olde Town or Summerville blocks is your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Our content, and the law that applies
Everything we’ve written here — the service write-ups, area pages, and pricing tables — belongs to us. Link to any page you like, but don’t lift the copy onto a rival mover’s site. Georgia state law governs how this agreement is read and enforced.
